Wanted to share an update from 16th St Heights- WMATA is making progress on the renovation to the 14th ST Bus Barn. After receiving community input from a design survey, they shared the updated design during a presentation yesterday.
The slides are here for anyone interested here (PDF). While there has been some opposition in the community (primarily from environmental concerns with the increase of bus fumes given that the fleet is not yet fully electric, and of course debate over aesthetics), it will be exciting to have this renovated space hopefully adding new retail and life to this section of 14th st.”
