WEATHER STORY: DENSE FOG ADVISORY late Tuesday night to 9 AM Wednesday morning for Minnesota and Wisconsin. This fog may be the most exciting part of the weather for the week ahead. The air pressure may not be high enough for sunny days but it also won't be low enough for major snowfall. We'll be in the middle with cloudy but dry days and warmer than normal temperatures for quite a spell.
TUESDAY NIGHT: Approaching lows from the west will create thick clouds aloft. Snow melt from warmer than normal temperatures will create dense, surface fog. Low temp will be 15-20. The wind will be E 5-10 mph.
WEDNESDAY: The two lows from the west will be slowed in their progression eastward by a high pressure center well to our south. The high, though, won't be powerful enough to clear the sky. Wednesday will be overcast with fog lasting into the morning hours. High temp will be near 28. The wind will be E 5-10 mph.
THURSDAY: The sky will be mostly cloudy but conditions will remain dry as the stand off among the two lows and the high continues. Low temp will be 19. The high will be 27. Both readings will be warmer than normal. The wind will be SE 5-10.
COMING UP: There is a 30% chance the lows will finally produce some snow on Saturday. Meteorologist Dave Anderson will talk about how much is possible during the Tuesday night CBS 3 newscasts. Meteorologist Kaitlyn Moffett will chat about how long our warm spell will last Wednesday morning between 5-7 AM.
