Free Fan Fest to Take Place on Sunday, October 16 Featuring Inaugural “3x3 National Cup: Road to the World Tour”
No Fees for Single-Game Tickets Purchased on 916 Day
Select Theme Nights and Entertainment Experiences Announced for 2022-23 Season
Today, in celebration of 916 Day, the Sacramento Kings announced a variety of experiences for fans to look forward to for the 2022-23 season, including an expanded list of theme nights. The team will open Golden 1 Center and DOCO for the annual free Fan Fest on Sunday, October 16, where fans can get their first look at the new roster, interact with Kings personalities and get a taste of new food and beverage options. During Fan Fest, the organization will partner with 3BALL USA to host the inaugural “3x3 National Cup: Road to the World Tour” presented by Kaiser Permanente. Additionally, to honor the best fans in the NBA, the Kings are offering a special 916 Day opportunity to purchase tickets to any home game with no fees.
“Today is all about celebrating the best fans in the NBA and giving them new and exciting sports and entertainment experiences,” said Sacramento Kings President of Business Operations John Rinehart. “We can’t wait to kick off the season and welcome fans back to Golden 1 Center for Opening Night.”
Fan Fest and 3x3 National Cup: Road to the World Tour
On Sunday, October 16, the Kings will host their annual free Fan Fest and Open Practice ahead of the 2022-23 NBA Season at Golden 1 Center. This event is for fans of all-ages, free to the public, with tickets required for admission. Complimentary tickets can be claimed now at Kings.com/FanFest. Season Ticket Members will have early access into the arena at 1:30 p.m. with doors opening for the general public at 2 p.m.
As fans enter the Grand Entrance, they will be greeted with a LED screen of Kings players, life size player cut outs, player footprints and a photo booth. The Kings Dancers and 916 Crew will be on hand, playing games including Pop-a-Shot with fans and passing out prizes throughout the concourse and plaza. Fans will have the opportunity to interact with mascots Slamson and Dunkson, personalities Scott “Fresh” Freshour and Scott Moak and broadcasters Kayte Christensen and Kyle Draper and enjoy music courtesy of Kings DJs.
Fans will also have access to a kids’ zone with activities and games, discounts up to 60% on Kings apparel in the Team Store, samples of new menu items throughout the concourse and 50% off fan favorite food items.
During Fan Fest, Golden 1 Center and the DOCO Plaza will host a 3x3 National Cup: Road to the World Tour presented by Kaiser Permanente in partnership with 3BALL USA. The games will feature 10 of the best men's teams battling for cash prizes, bragging rights and a trip to Brazil to compete in the Pro Circuit. Games are fast paced with 12-second shot clocks, a live ball after made baskets and end in 10 minutes or when a team reaches 21 points. Teams will compete in the quarterfinals on the DOCO Plaza and then semi-finals and finals inside the arena.
To highlight Fan Fest, the full Kings roster and coaching staff will participate in an open practice featuring skills challenges and a rookie talent show. Following the Kings, fans will be entertained by exhibition dunkers from 3BALL USA.
Additionally, youth ages 6-14 are invited to participate in a Jr. Kings youth basketball clinic on October 16 to coincide with Fan Fest. Spots are limited and will be available for purchase at Kings.com/JrKings.
2022-23 Season Select Themed Games and Entertainment Experiences
Last month, the Kings announced their full season schedule, which will showcase several interactive and immersive themed games starting with Opening Night presented by Kaiser Permanente (October 19). The team will recognize the diversity of the Sacramento region and celebrate various heritage and culture nights throughout the season including Día de los Muertos (October 29), Native American Heritage presented by Red Hawk Casino (November 20), Lunar New Year presented by Red Hawk Casino (January 20), Black History Month powered by SMUD (February 10), Holi (March 9) and Pride Party (February 11). The Kings will honor service members with Salute to Service presented by Crown Royal (November 9) and celebrate women during Women’s Empowerment Night powered by SMUD and Cintron (March 13). To pay homage to Golden 1 Center as the most technologically advanced arena, the team will host Tech Night presented by Dialpad (March 24). And to build on the success of last season, the Kings will team up with Nickelodeon on two games, Nickelodeon Throwback Edition (December 4) and Nickelodeon Day presented by Red Hawk Casino (April 2).
New this season, fans can look forward to game-day traditions including a special guest ringing the cowbell pregame, the Kings lighting up the sky following a win at home and an after party on select nights at the Sierra Nevada Draught House featuring DJs, food, drinks and merchandise available for purchase. In addition, throughout the season, the team will announce exciting post-game concerts in the DOCO Plaza.

No Fees and Other Ticket Offers
Today, fans can purchase single-game tickets to any Sacramento Kings home game with no fees. Additionally, fans can purchase a Kings Pass for all October games for $79. Fans can also enter the team’s Opening Night Sweepstakes presented by Cintron for a chance to sit courtside as the Kings take on the Trail Blazers on October 19. One lucky Kings fan will win four courtside seats, VIP lounge access, four autographed jerseys plus an exclusive Cintron variety pack.
