Volumetric Video is an emerging media format allowing content creators the ability to produce compelling, interactive, personalized stories that fully immerse a person in the action. The scene is captured once thus removing the limits of a physical camera’s position. It uses an array of dozens of 5K cameras surrounding the entire area of action and captures two-dimensional pixels and renders it as three-dimensional voxels.
