The first full week of camp at Camp Machaneh Tzeirei Chassidim overnight camp for boys, in Clayton, Georgia, flew by with activities keeping the 250 boys on their toes and waiting anxiously for what the next day has in store.
Main Division Boys were introduced to many new and exciting programs last week to keep them pumping throughout the summer.
Sunday brought on the Sports Leagues. All campers were divided into teams with unique names and received colored caps for all boys on their team.
Monday came along with its first Mivtza Day – Tzivos Hashem! The boys woke up to the camp decorated in green, an army band played a music drumroll, and had a grand rally learning all about the details of the Mivtza.
Tuesday surprised the boys with an on-site laser tag! Bunks against bunk ran and hid in the woods, aiming at the opposing bunk to tag them with their lasers.

Camp MTC enjoyed an awesome ZUZU acrobat show on Wednesday. The acrobats wowed them with cool stunts and balancing acts, hanging on to each other to prevent from falling.
7G Division enjoyed their unique Mivtza Shtendig campaign and exclusive sports draft event.
The 7G week kicked off with Mivtza Shtendig – a mivtza campaign encouraging the boys to be involved in Chassidishe Inyonim such as Chitas, Rambam, and going to the Mikvah in the mornings. There has been a great response! The boys have been joining Chitas Club and Mikvah Tuesday where almost the entire division took a Mikvah Dip in the morning (with lifeguard supervision)! All those who joined were treated to hot cocoa and danishes as well!
7G was pleasantly surprised by their first on-site ‘trip’, paintball shooting! Props and staging were set up in the woods to mimic real territory. The boys had a blast, aiming for their targets and seeing who can avoid getting hit.
An epic Sports Draft Event took place – captains were appointed, teams were picked, and the competition began! Sports Leagues of MTC 5780 are in full swing with intense games played daily.
Finally, the week concluded with a smashing BBQ on Thursday night. Those who took part in Mivtza Shtendig were treated to a delectable BBQ with hotdogs and burgers hot off the grill, night lights and lively music, and special acknowledgment for all the effort put in to keeping up with the Chassidishe Inyonim.
