Mexico’s lithium exploration and development sector is thriving and as One World sits on the cusp of emerging as one of the new top players in the world is one of the latest offerings in the Stockhouse Deal Room.
Hydrothermal activity has been discovered at the south end of OWL’s property which has opened the door to the possibility that its potential resource may be similar to lithium-brine producers in the lithium triangle located in Argentina, Chile and Bolivia.
Exploration and development Company One World Lithium Inc. (CSE: OWLI, OTCQB: OWRDF) has earned a 60% property interest with an option to acquire a further 30% property interest for a total of a 90% property interest in the Salar del Diablo lithium brine project located in the State of Baja California , Mexico.
One World Lithium is focused on lithium - brine projects and recently closed a financing to help fund part of the Salar del Diablo drilling program. The Company is on the verge of beginning its drill operations at the project by in October and its latest private placement of $1.5 million is earmarked for just that. This is a unit offering of $ 0.05 a share with a full warrant at $ 0.10 with a term of three years.
This Company may successfully drill a discovery on the Salar del Diablo property in October and then joint venture or sell the project to a major operator. But that is not the whole story. OWL wants to take a cutting-edge technology the lithium market would be eager to learn more about, advance it through proof of concept on its own account and then complete sub-license agreements with other lithium brine producers worldwide.
About the Salar del Diablo property:
This 103,450 hectare (400 square mile) property covers one of the larger salars in the world to be drilled in 2020 and has the potential for a lithium brine discovery, not unlike several deposits in Argentina and Chile.
The project’s operator is Mike Rosko of Montgomery & Associates, who has been the operator or qualified person of several discoveries in Argentina and Chile, including Millennial Lithium Corp.’s (TSX-V: ML) Pasto Grande deposit, Galaxy Resources Ltd.’s (TSX: GALXF) Sal de Vita deposit, and Lithium Americas Corp.’s (TSX: LAC) Cauchari Olaroz deposit.
Those discoveries boast present values of approximately $1 billion (USD, (using a 10% discount rate)). Each one of these properties, including Salar del Diablo, have hydrothermal systems which is a source of lithium, the potential of OWL’s asset may be in the same league. On completion of the next diamond drill hole (DDH-3) OWL will then own an 80% property interest with an option to purchase an additional 10% interest.
Critical fluid separation technology:
Within the next four months, OWL expects to hold a world exclusive license agreement with Canadian private tech business Sway Energy Inc. The Company will have 100% of the technology subject to 10% of the net benefits of using the technology payable to Sway Energy. The technology has the potential to separate lithium from a brine with cost savings of 40% of CAPEX and 30% of OPEX. Two of the major potential cost savings are evaporation ponds will not be required and that pure lithium will be produced rather than lithium carbonate or lithium hydroxide.
Though it could take up to four months to complete a “proof of concept” program for commercial use, its success could be a potential game change in the industry and may be applicable to several lithium brine producers now, with the potential for more in the future.
Investment summary:
This current offering is open until September 30th, 2020. Around the end of the month, the Company expects to have more news to share about its separation technology, ahead of this fall’s maiden drilling program located 50 kilometers south of previous drilling
