South Yorkshire-born racing driver Oliver Rowland (Nissan e.dams) seemed excited after the double-header weekend in Rome, looking forward to this weekend’s DHL Valencia E-Prix.
Rowland stated that his speed in qualifying and his championship point gave him confidence to improve in Valencia. He was quick in the second race of the weekend, passing two cars within five minutes of one another in the same corner, scoring one point over the weekend.
His teammate, Season two Formula E champion Sebastien Buemi, said the team had done some work since Rome at the factory and that they would apply these at the new venue.
Gregory Driot, the Nissan e.dams co-team principal, hoped for consistently dry weather in Valencia, which would allow the team to “more effectively execute [their] racing strategies and show the speed and competitiveness that [they] know [their] drivers and race cars have”
The Nissan e-Dams team have had a good track record since their beginnings in the team championship, being the best team in the first three years, and never finishing lower than fifth in the standings.
They also extended their commitment to the future of global electric motorsport with their choice to go into the Gen3 era alongside DS Techeetah, Porsche and NIO.
The double-header weekend’s first race is on Saturday 24 April 2021 at 15:00 CET (14:00 BST) and the second race is on Sunday 25 April 2021 at 14:00 CET (13:00 BST).
