Wim Miree, a well-known pastry chef in Birmingham for 26+ years, just opened his own bakery and my stomach is grumbling at the thought of his scrumptious pastries. Hello Bakery is now serving fresh pastries and homemade small-batch ice cream in Crestline Gardens. You can catch me there sipping on a cup of coffee and chowing down on a croissant in the morning.

The fastest-growing dog daycare brand in the country recently opened in Homewood. Dogtopia is giving some extra love to our furry friends by providing a safe environment where dogs can exercise, socialize, learn and have fun.

“At Dogtopia, we are firm believers that consistent daycare provides the socialization, education and exercise needed to make happier, healthier and ultimately better-behaved dogs. Access to convenient, high-quality daycare expands the opportunities for dog ownership, which in turn promotes human health.
