As some of the last businesses to open in our community, we are finally starting to see the gyms open their doors once again. Carri, the manager at Fitness for $10, describes the excitement she felt as she opened her doors to anxiously waiting members after a long and unexpected second shut down. “It’s hard for us (the gym) not being able to serve our community like we strive to do, especially during these uncertain times when we know they need us the most.” Among those waiting at the door for her to open were members ranging from 19 years old to a couple in their late 70’s. A long time member, Howard, states, “ I feel safer here at the gym than I do at any other retail store. They go above and beyond, constantly ensuring everything is sanitized.”
Here at Fitness For $10, we strive to create a safe and clean environment for our members to work out. We have hired additional staff to clean, are social distancing, have limited group fitness class numbers, added additional disinfecting and hand sanitizing stations, and are respecting the additional mask mandate. At FF10, we are doing our part to help keep our doors open to the community. FF10 offers three different locations in the Quad city area, which allows us to provide a wide variety in our member’s gym experience. No matter what type of exercise you prefer, FF10 has something for you! “This gym is the melting pot for all types of individuals, from bodybuilders to Yoga enthusiasts, we have it all,” says Paige, one of FF10’s group fitness instructors. Each of our three locations offers a full free weight area, weight machines, and a full array of cardio equipment. In addition, the group fitness classes include STRONG, Zumba, Pilates, BodySculpt, and yoga and are offered both morning and evening during the weekdays. New to the gym? No problem, a free gym orientation is available to every member as well as inclusive personal training options.
“We can provide a variety that you just can’t get working out at home,” says Carri as she points out their low-cost memberships will also save people more money than trying to purchase all their own equipment. “This is a crucial time for people to stay healthy and keep their immunities strong and working out has proven to do that. It is our priority and responsibility to help provide a safe and welcoming place for our members to do just that,” says Tiger, who is also a manager and Director of personal training. “We are just excited to finally be open so we can do our part to support our community.”
At FF10 we offer three different affordable memberships, including insurance options, as well as veteran and first responder discounts. You can locate and set up a tour to any of FF10’s clubs by visiting
