Fans Excited After Bills Clinch AFC East Divisional Title - Spectrum News

BUFFALO, N.Y. — For the first time since 1995, the Buffalo Bills have clinched the AFC East, sending them back to the postseason.

To say Bills Mafia is happy would be an understatement.

The Bills beat the Broncos 48-19 in Denver Saturday.

Winning their division locks in Buffalo's second-straight playoff berth and third in four years.

Quarterback Josh Allen had another stellar performance, throwing for 359 yards and racking up four touchdowns.

The last time the Bills won, Allen was not born yet. He was born a year later, in 1996.

While this is an exciting and historic year for Buffalo, there is a downside.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, fans have not been able to watch at the stadium or head to bars to watch together — but that doesn't seem to be shaking their mood.

“Oh my god it's outstanding, you know, you think back to the early ‘90s and kind of what we lived through, and it's awesome that he gets to experience it. He's 12 years old, we were just driving here. And I said it's twice his age since the Bills have been here,” said Mike Polutro, of West Seneca.

"Very excited. My dad had season tickets since War Memorial. And now we have them and we go every year, so it's been a little disappointing that we haven't been able to cheer them on this year. But we're doing it from home and this is very exciting,” said Jackie Webber, of Orchard Park.
