Every year the holidays are full of gatherings with elaborate Christmas events, visits to Santa Claus, and various seasonal activities.
The City of North Lauderdale holiday events are very different this year, given the pandemic.. Everyone has to follow social distance guidelines; they have created a unique way for kids to see Santa Claus and celebrate Christmas.
Start the holiday season off with a series of fun family nights at a drive-in movie. Tickets will be available ahead of time at the City of North Lauderdale Teen Recreation Center.
Drive-in Movies
The Grinch that Stole Christmas, Friday, December 4, at 7:00 p.m., at the Sports Complex Field #2 located on 701 Southwest 71st Ave, North Lauderdale.
Frozen 2 on Friday, December 11, at 7:00 p.m. at the Sports Complex Field #2 located on 701 Southwest 71st Ave, North Lauderdale.
Frozen 2 on Saturday, December 12, at 6:30 p.m., at Pompano Park located at 4001 Northwest 62nd street North Lauderdale.
Toy Story 4, Friday, December 18, at 7:00 p.m. at the Sports Complex Field #2 located on 701 Southwest 71st Ave, North Lauderdale.
The Santa Clause, on Wednesday, December 23, at 7:00 p.m. at the Sports Complex Field #2, located on 701 Southwest 71st Ave, North Lauderdale.
Other Holiday Events
Drive-Thru Santa Visit. The holiday season continues with a drive through city hall to see Santa, drop off a letter to the South Pole, and receive a bag of candy. Held Tuesday, December 15, and Thursday, December 17, in the city hall parking lot located on 701 Southwest 71st Ave from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Hampton Pines Park. On Saturday, December 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Drop a letter off to Santa and receive free ice cream by donating five canned goods. Located at 7800 Hampton Blvd, North Lauderdale.
Santa Cruise Through The City. On Saturday, December 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, Santa will take his sleigh through the city and various neighborhoods where residents will be able to wave to him as he rides on his sleigh through North Lauderdale.
