The 49ers’ list of draft needs could change depending on how free agency shakes out, but it looks like they’ll need to pick at least one cornerback regardless of how the early part of the offseason goes.

If they do take a cornerback, they shouldn’t wait log to do so according to NFL Media’s draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah. Tuesday in a video conference with reporters, Jeremiah talked about some of the players that could available beyond Day 1 of this year’s draft.

“That’s a really good group of corners in Round 2,” he said. “Then after that it really starts to drop off on my list, so, for those teams looking for corners they’re gonna all go so you better get on that right early in the first or second round.”

Here are some of the players he outlined as possible second-round targets:

Kelvin Joseph, Kentucky

Brianna Paciorka/News Sentinel

Height: 6-foot-1

Weight: 192 pounds

Career stats: 15 games, 37 tackles, 4 interceptions, 1 touchdown, 2 pass breakups

What Jeremiah said: “I think you look at Kelvin Joseph from Kentucky, who’s really really fluid, athletic. He’s got great ball skills. He’s one of those guys that got torched by (Florida TE Kyle) Pitts, but I’m not gonna hold that against him.”

Quick thoughts: Most CBs got beat bad by Pitts this year, but Joseph’s limited experience is a worry. The 49ers are desperate enough though that a little bit of a project would be fine.

Aaron Robinson, Central Florida

Mary Holt-USA TODAY Sports

Height: 6-foot-1

Weight: 193 pounds

Career stats: 30 games, 103 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 1 interception, 1 touchdown, 16 pass breakups

What Jeremiah said: “You’ve got Aaron Robinson from Central Florida who primarily played inside there, but who’s real tough, physical, aggressive. Easy speed.”

Quick thoughts: With K’Waun Williams likely headed elsewhere as an unrestricted free agent, finding a slot corner early in the draft could be a priority.

Tyson Campbell, Georgia

Joshua L. Jones-USA TODAY NETWORK

Height: 6-foot-1

Weight: 195 pounds

Stats: 31 games, 89 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, 1 interception, 10 pass breakups

What Jeremiah said: “If you’re looking for big corners, I think both the Georgia corners are gonna go in the second round. When you look at Tyson Campbell, as well as Stokes from Georgia. Both those guys are big and fast. Eric Stokes the other day, everybody saw the training, he was running like the 4.2s. Both those guys — one was a state champ in Georgia in high school. The other was a state champ in Florida. So those are big-time size, speed corners that I think you’ll see come off the board there in the second-round.”

Quick thoughts: Campbell would be an ideal fit in Robert Saleh’s version of the 49ers’ defense, but that scheme could change some under DeMeco Ryans. Either way, Campbell is a good enough player to become a starter right away.

Eric Stokes, Georgia

Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Height: 6-foot-1

Weight: 185 pounds

Stats: 31 games, 78 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, 4 interceptions, 2 touchdowns, 22 pass breakups

Quick thoughts: Stokes should have the versatility to play inside and outside, which the 49ers will certainly have interest in given their potential needs by draft time.
