LAKELAND, Fla. -- The comparison has probably been made a million times, but here is the 1,000,001st: Michael Pineda looks like an NFL offensive tackle.
When Big Mike arrived at the Detroit Tigers spring training clubhouse for the first time on Sunday morning, it was impossible to miss him. He towered over his teammates. Accurate weights and measures are sometimes difficult to come by, but it’s not a stretch to peg Pineda at about 6-foot-8 and 300 pounds.
