It's believed that the titan of the industry also has a Galaxy Fold Lite in the works that could open foldable smartphones up to a whole new marketplace.
That's because this device is rumoured to come with a price tag below the $1,000 mark.
If these rumours are true, it would mean the Fold Lite would likely be around half the price of the Galaxy Fold 2.
And it would also be priced similarly to non-foldable smartphones such as the Galaxy S20, Huawei P40 Pro and Apple's iPhone 12.
It would be the cheapest foldable smartphone around, and that price point could help invigorate interest in this relatively new type of device.
But Samsung fans look like they'll have to wait a little while longer till they get official confirmation about this rumoured device.
