1. Tyler Matakevich can't wait to play his former team
Tonight's primetime matchup between the Bills and Steelers is a game that Tyler Matakevich has had his eye on since March. Matakevich was drafted in the seventh round by the Steelers in 2016 and has spent the previous four years playing in Pittsburgh. He had two special teams tackles last year for the Steelers in the primetime game against the Bills. Matakevich is eager and excited for tonight's game and he explained why:
"I'm definitely excited for this game, it definitely might have been circled on the schedule since like March once I signed here," Matakevich said with a smile. "But I'm just excited to go I mean, I've been there like you said for four years, I know those guys and I know their tendencies and I got a good idea of what they like to do over there. So, I'm just really eager to get out there this weekend."
In his first season with Buffalo, Matakevich has eight special teams tackles which leads the team and he also recorded his first kickoff return in Week 8. He thinks Buffalo is the perfect place for him,and that the team and the whole city has such a great work ethic.
"I mean it's a perfect fit for me. Just a blue-collar city and the people are just gonna get down and work. You just have to be willing to work, put in the hours, and put in the time and everything else to take care of itself. So, I definitely think I ended up in an unbelievable place"
