APALACHIN (WBNG) -- Wednesday's heavy rain and strong winds downed trees and power lines, leaving thousands of people across the area without power.
Some of those buildings were small businesses.
Apalachin Pharmacy owner Kinna Lalkiya said they had issues operating without access to their online records and prescriptions from doctors.
She added that she was concerned with how long it has taken to get power back at her business.
"People are suffering. We cannot give them their medications. We cannot look it up or anything...we're just waiting for the power to come on," Lalkiya said.
As of 6:15 p.m. Thursday evening, power was still not on at the business.
