Jenny Greene and wife Kelly Keogh have purchased their first home! The couple shared an exciting walk through the fixer upper, and spoke about making the biggest purchase of their lives while the global economy is on the brink of collapse.
The couple announced the exciting news on Instagram Sunday evening, and admitted they’re finding it hard to celebrate the milestone during such a tumultuous time for the world.
“A big milestone was reached last week when we finally got the keys to our first home together,” Jenny wrote beside a gorgeous photo of the pair on their new front door step.
“It was very hard to even try and celebrate it when the world has been turned upside down by COVID 19. Here’s hoping to brighter days for mankind and hopefully we’ll get to experience living in our new home soon”.
The couple also shared an in-depth walk-through of the space, which has plenty of character and charm - albeit with lots of room for improvement and endless designing potential.
The two made sarcastic jokes about the lovely home’s ‘quirky’ leftover design, which they intend to tear down and make their own.
At the end of the tour, Kelly opened up about the reality of purchasing a home during a time of global financial uncertainty.
“This will be the biggest purchase of our life, while the global economy is on the cusp of collapsing. But sure everyone’s in the same boat, it’s not just us,” Kelly said.
Jenny and Kelly married at the Wineport Lodge in 2016 after four years together, however they first met each other in the Gaeltacht at age 14.
“I met Kelly when we were in Irish college, so I met her when I was 14. I didn’t speak a word of Irish when I went down, and I didn’t speak a word of Irish when I left, but if I hadn’t have gone down, I wouldn’t have met her,” said the RTE 2FM DJ.
